It would take Sutton a long time before she would gain her confidence back. It would take her a while before even looking in the mirror. She trusted no one. She feared everything but she loved anything. All her life Sutton had been very black and white. She didn't lie, she didn't cheat, and she didn't steal. That was until she was scarred by what we call life. Her brown lashes fluttered as her thoughts drifted to finer days and happier moments. She could not dwell upon the bounty anymore. She could only move on. Sutton peeled off off her pumps and settled them on to the floor. Rolling her skirt down her knees, she stood there for a moment examining a large scar on her thigh. Unballing her jeans, she wiggled into them securing them to her waist. Sutton prepared to go talk to the one thing in her life that stayed whole. The one thing that never left her. She slowly unbuttoned vest and tossed it to the ground. Pulling out a cotton tee, she pulled it over her head. She tied her hair back and fastened her riding boats to her calves. A quick glance in the mirror before striding towards the barn. She needed Tobias today and he needed her. She broke into a run as the barn drew her in. Sutton's nose filled with the smells of her beautiful barn and she was home. Tobias's whinny could be heard over all others as Sutton rushed the clutches of her faithful stallion.
